COVER STORY

Infinity and Beyond is about Chinese discoveries that are unraveling the mysteries of space. From quantum communications to detecting dark matter, satellites and earth-bound super telescopes are pushing the boundaries of what is known about space. And frontiers of deep sea and aviation are also being explored by Chinese scientists.

World

Opposites Attract is about how Western Europe is warming to the Belt and Road Initiative. The West saw the initiative as another empty slogan, but China’s efforts and beginning successes have changed their views. During recent visits, the leaders of France and Britain both expressed interest and major European countries are devising strategies to incorporate the Belt and Road.

Lifestyle

Relics Come Alive is about an article about museums using modern technology to give visitors better access to China’s national treasures. Some of China’s best museums, including Beijing’s Palace Museum, team up on a reality show called “National Treasures,” to present precious historical items to the public. The Palace Museum is working with Internet giant Tencent to digitize exhibitions held there, which will enable viewers to see high definition views of cultural relics, including ones not currently on exhibit.
