A poster of Captain America: Civil War (MTIME.COM) Captain America has landed in China resoundingly with many fans rushing to cinemas to have a first look. The latest film Captain America: Civil War has taken in some $95 million in Chinese box office since it debuted on May 6. Including previews, the film has scored $97 million, marking the second-biggest three-day opening in China, just behind Fast and Furious 7 in 2015. The Marvel-Disney co-production is now on track to surpass its previous installment The Winter Soldier and Iron Man 3. It remains to be seen if Captain America: Civil War can beat Avengers: Age of Ultron which closed out with $240 million in China alone. The film is also performing well in North America, reaping nearly $182 million over the weekend, the fifth-best opening of all time. Captain America: Civil War revolves around the rift between Captain America and the Iron Man which forces the other Avengers to take sides. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, the film has been highly rated, with an approval rating of 91-percent on film review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes.
