Participants at an event promoting the fifth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" on July 13 spoke highly of the book, saying it offers important insights into Chinese modernization, global governance and provides guidance for enhancing cooperation with China.

About 300 representatives from political parties, media organizations, think tanks and other sectors from China and Kyrgyzstan exchanged views on such topics as Belt and Road cooperation, the building of a community with a shared future for humanity, and mutual learning among civilizations.

Former Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbayeva said she believes that the book will become an important source of knowledge for all those seeking a deeper understanding of contemporary China, the logic behind its development and the prospects for Kyrgyzstan-China cooperation.

Former Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Alikbek Jekshenkulov said the book reminds readers that successful governance is always a combination of a clear strategy, readiness to make difficult decisions and attention to the real needs of the people.

Kyrgyz State Secretary Arslan Koichiev said the book shows that only through dialogue among civilizations can the prosperity and well-being of all humanity be ensured.

He added that the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity is of great practical significance, and has drawn widespread attention in Kyrgyzstan and across Central Asia.

Emilbek Kaptagaev, translator of the Kyrgyz edition of the book, said the fifth volume not only discusses China's development, but also explores major issues concerning the future of humanity.

He said the Kyrgyz side will continue to help the public gain an understanding of China's domestic and foreign policies, and further deepen Kyrgyzstan-China cooperation and achieve more fruitful outcomes.

The event was jointly organized by China's State Council Information Office, China International Communications Group and the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
