The team from the Nandipur 425/525 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant visited a local primary school in Nandipur, distributing new schoolbags and stationery to every student—another gesture of China’s continued care for the surrounding community.

The visit follows an earlier initiative by the project team in which the school underwent major upgrades, including renovated classrooms, repaired walls, and improved electrical systems, ensuring a safer and cleaner learning environment for children.

The return visit was warmly welcomed by teachers and residents, who said the gesture reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to local education and student well-being. Community members expressed their gratitude, noting that “the power project has not only built a modern power plant but also lit a flame of hope in the hearts of our children.” Others remarked that the visit showed how “true partnership connects people heart to heart.”

Operated by PowerChina, the Nandipur Power Plant continues to extend its role beyond energy production, representing a broader approach to social responsibility embedded across the company’s overseas projects.

From improving school infrastructure to supporting students with essential supplies, the Chinese power company continues to turn the spirit of China–Pakistan friendship into practical actions that benefit local communities.

Located near Gujranwala in Punjab, the Nandipur Combined Cycle Power Plant is an operational 525 MW thermal facility. The plant has a nameplate capacity of 425 MW, with system design enabling generation of up to 525 MW. It includes three 110 MW gas turbines and a 195 MW steam turbine, making it an important contributor to Pakistan’s power grid.
