A seasoned medical expert on March 22 taught an overseas audience about prevention and control measures against the novel coronavirus via livestreaming.

Yuan Jing is an epidemiological expert with the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen in the city of Shenzhen, southern China's Guangdong Province. The hospital is the only designated hospital in Shenzhen receiving patients that have contracted the virus.

At the invitation of the Canada Confederation of Shenzhen Associations, Yuan shared knowledge about the epidemiology, symptoms and vaccine development of the virus and its impact on the human body during the livestreaming session. She also answered questions from the audience.

"We need to share our experience with the world," she said. "We need to stand together to win the battle against the virus."
