The 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) kicked off in the coastal city of Xiamen, Fujian Province on September 8.
More than 700 business delegations and exhibitors from over 100 countries and regions take part in this year's fair. The latest commercial products are on display in over 6,000 exhibition booths covering 138,000 square meters.
China has presented a set of guiding principles for global investment policies at the recently-concluded G20 Summit. It is the first multilateral global investment rules framework, which is of pioneering significance, according to observers.
With the conclusion of the G20 Summit earlier this week, appetite for cross-border investment is set to be at an all-time high.
Experts note that CIFIT is expected to play an important role in inviting global businesses and institutions to participate in the process of shaping a more open economy and driving sustainable growth in China.
The fair includes a large number of seminars and symposiums with themes ranging from e-commerce, merger and acquisitions, and financial innovation, to policy compliance and risk control in business development.
