Alan Beebe, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in China

As the world economy has reached a turning point, China's leading role in the international economic arena is strengthening. Looking back, China has carried out reform and opening up for more than 40 years. I hope China will further deepen reform and open wider to the outside world. I believe that in the future, China will play a more important role in global economy and trade. With China's deep involvement in the global economy, members of the American Chamber of Commerce in China are also gaining opportunities and look forward to continuing to benefit from China's wider opening-up. The phase one trade agreement between China and the United States has been reached, which is beneficial to both sides. The U.S. companies very much hope that the deal can be firmly implemented, and hope that the phase two negotiations can continue to discuss structural issues of China-U.S. trade and economic relations and make possible progress. Of course, it depends on the attitude of the new U.S. administration and the Chinese side. We hope that the phase two negotiations can proceed smoothly and achieve a win-win result.

Fujihara Tomoki, Director of Economic Department JETRO Beijing

The proposals for the 14th Five-Year Plan outline the direction of China's development in the coming period. The Japanese side has been paying close attention to this, especially on what specific policies and measures China will take in the future and how to implement them. It is hoped that more Japanese companies can get involved and contribute to China's future development.

Dmitry Novikov, Russian Coordinator of China-Russia Culture and Business Center

China-Russia relations enjoy a profound history. Nowadays, bilateral investment and cooperation have been expanding. China has been Russia's largest trading partner for many years. Bilateral exchanges are not only reflected in economic and trade, but will also promote collaboration in the fields of culture, education and science. China has made tremendous achievements during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, and Russia has a lot to learn from its experience.
