When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life. So claimed English writer Samuel Johnson. I sort of agree with him, having lived there for years.

Welcome dear reader to our August issue and you may wonder what London has to do with Africa. Well, frankly, nothing.

But we thought we might spread our wings a bit and see what’s up with the strange names some burrows and areas have in London and also take you on a little tour of this amazing city.

Closer to home, we take a look at why Southern Africa has become the hub of luxury tourism for world travelers to Africa.

One of the reasons is a world-class city like Cape Town and also in this issue we explore exciting new things to do and places to be seen in what locals call "the Mother City."

And last but not least, we visit the largely unexplored country of Madagascar - or to be more precise, Nosy Be. It’s the fourth largest island in the world and the haunting, wild and pristine beauty of the place is second to none.

So enjoy the August and until next month, bon voyage!
