The Party Central Committee made the decision to resist U.S aggression and aid Korea, protect our homes and defend our motherland. The Chinese People’s Volunteers commanded by Peng Dehuai crossed the Yalu River and fought side by side with the Korean People’s Army to resist the American invaders. The Korean cease-fire agreement was reached on July 27, 1953.
